A New “Heart”, Consistent World-Class Quality
18MY models with a new “heart” from Chery Jaguar Land Rover premier at Chengdu Auto Show. All new cars are equipped with brand new Ingenium 2.0L four-cylinder engine produced by Chery Jaguar Land Rover’s all-new engine plant. This engine started the production in April this year at UK’s Jaguar Land Rover engine production centre. In just three months, Chery Jaguar Land Rover began the production simultaneously, bringing customers with powerful performance, outstanding fuel efficiency and low emission level.
All-new Ingenium engine has adopted the industry-leading modular design concept. It is developed for longitudinal and transverse applications across the portfolio of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles and compatible with rear- and four-wheel drive. It has gone through a full range of rigorous tests in the development stage, such as more than 70,000 hours of Dyno test and more than 3,000,000 kilometres of real road test. Prior to the localisation of products, Chery Jaguar Land Rover has conducted a comprehensive verification test of the three 18MY models with Ingenium engine so as to ensure that they are able to conquer China’s harshest roads and driving environment. From the extremely cold Yakeshi to extremely hot Hainan, there are full of our footprints. Meanwhile, to ensure our future products continue to benefit from the knowledge and experience we’re gaining, Chery Jaguar Land Rover has established a comprehensive R&D database, which is specific to the China market and is shared with Jaguar Land Rover headquarters in the UK.
