Changshu Plant Phase II to go into operation

(June 20, 2018, Changshu) Chery Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “CJLR”) is about to put its Changshu Plant Phase II into operation. Phase II will add 70,000 units to annual capacity. CJLR is to realize a new upgrade of intelligent system to empower the company to maintain the leading position in China’s premium auto market.

With strong system strength, CJLR is actively driving the improvement of China’s premium auto intelligent manufacturing and elevate its managing concept, and leading the auto consumer market upgrades by continuously introducing powerful products. The all-new Jaguar E-PACE, synchronously produced globally, will be the first product of Phase II. This is not only to fulfill CJLR’s sincere commitment of “five new models in three years”, but also a display of the company’s complete and mature R&D and manufacturing system and talent system.

To satisfy the demands of luxury auto in the Chinese market, CJLR has deployed a forward-looking capital increase plan, announcing Phase II capacity expansion project two years after the opening of its Changshu Plant Phase I project. The opening of CJLR Changshu Plant Phase I in 2014 marked the UK originated high-end auto manufacturing technology made its first landing in China. Guided by the core concept of “Shared Value”, CJLR, while achieving sustainable development, is committed to driving the industry chain, especially the upgrade of China’s premium auto industry.

The upcoming Changshu Plant Phase II, which will soon be put into operation, will inherit intelligent manufacturing capability of Phase I and conducts further intelligent upgrade of the entire industrial chain from R&D, production, management to service to ensure the “global flagship plant” maintain the extraordinary and exemplary role in China’s auto industry; to promote the landing of the national strategy of “Made in China 2025”; and to continuously bring more products with British style and innovative experience for Chinese consumers.
