Shanghai, June 15, 2021 – Under the theme of “Driving into a New Chapter of Modern Luxury”, Jaguar and Land Rover successfully launched two major products to the Chinese market at a press conference held at West Bund, Shanghai. The all-new Range Rover Evoque L completed its global debut and was officially revealed to the market, and its first edition, customized for China, was launched as well. The all-new Jaguar XFL announced its official MSRPs and started delivery from the very moment of its launch.

Under the new global strategy, REIMAGINE, Jaguar Land Rover gives design a more prominent role to play, promising to reimagine the future of Modern Luxury by Design. The two new models, with comprehensively enhanced product strengths, are the latest implementations of this strategy, offering unique British luxury to consumers in China.

A True Fashion Icon – All-new Range Rover Evoque L Global Debut

The all-new Range Rover Evoque L revealed today is the second long wheelbase model of the Range Rover family, gaining inspiration from the King of Luxury SUVs – the Range Rover LWB. With refined upgrades and fashionable design, the Range Rover Evoque L has become the new fashion icon of the family. The “L” on the nameplate indicates that the Range Rover Evoque L not only has its wheelbase extended, but also luxury as well.

It combines our reductive design principles with elegant detailing and unique proportions – created exclusively for our Chinese customers.”

Inheriting the new generation design language of the Range Rover family, the new Range Rover Evoque L features a distinctive and elegant exterior design and a refined interior, placing even greater emphasis on passenger comfort and wellbeing. To create this enhanced space, the wheelbase has been re-engineered, extended and strengthened. In a unique collaboration between Land Rover’s Chery facility in China and its UK Design and Engineering teams, the Evoque Long Wheelbase has increased in length by 160mm to 2,841mm, providing unrivalled space for rear seat occupants and numerous exquisitely detailed design elements.

Launched exclusively for China, the First Edition model builds on the generous specification of the standard R-Dynamic S model at launch, with unique exterior and interior design elements. On the exterior, customers can choose from three colourways: Belgravia Green with a Narvik Black contrast roof, Seoul Pearl Silver with a Rosello Red contrast roof, or Santorini Black with a Seoul Pearl Silver contrast roof. On the interior, duo-tone interior colours include Deep Garnet/Ebony or Light Oyster/Ebony, complemented with unique interior design details including First Edition treadplates, seat tags and finishers with a copper finish and embossed head rests.

The standard InControl OS 2.0 Infotainment system allows interconnectivity of the multiple screens on board, providing extraordinary, intuitive experience for those in the car.

SPORTINESS is also pushed to a new height. With lightweight aluminum body architecture, the all-new XFL offers three power options, 200hp, 250hp and 300hp, perfect for daily commute, business purposes and sporty fun. Jaguar is also bringing more XFLs with the all-wheel drive option for customers to enjoy the Jaguar signature handling.
